Week end of doom
Jun. 17th, 2008 03:04 pmI think I need to tell everyone what kind of crazy week end I had.
It started at 5pm on Friday when I left for work. I worked until 11pm. Then I got home, and packed my stuff, cleaned the apartment and went to bed at 2am. I got up at 5am, made myself breakfast (peanut butter sandwich that I ended up not eating), showered and left for the bus terminus. The bus left at 6am and I slept all the way to Quebec city. I got there at 9:30am. I had one hour to wait for my transfer during which I ate a muffin. Got back on the bus and arrived in Montreal around 12h30. My dad came to pick me up and we went straight to the Oratoir Saint-Joseph, I ate a little bit of pineapple. The ceremony was only at 2h30, so I took my stuff and changed it from my dad's car to my mom's car and waited around. The ceremony started. It wasn't so bad, except I couldn't really concentrate since I was hungry and tired. Then they started handing out doctorates, master's degrees and diplomas. It was long. Almost 3hours of name calling. Then they called my sister! Yay! After the ceremony, I went to a Moroccan/Mediterraneans restaurant with my mom, my sister and my aunt. I ate way to much. It was good. Then at 9pm, I left the restaurant to go meet some of my friends at there apartment. I show them my awesome new book. We ate some birthday cake that Pregnant Fan made for both of us and I got Candy! Around 11pm, they where all tired and decided to leave, but Sandrine told me that Kim (who's birthday was on that day) was downtown. And even if I couldn't contact her, she called one of her friend who was with her and we got in touch. Then I went to meet this friend of Sandrine that I didn't know and we went together to meet Kim who was with her boyfriend and Martine in a wonderful restaurant, Jardin Nelson. We stayed there until almost one o'clock and then they brought me home(well, to my mom's). I read a little and went to bed. It was about 3am.
The next day I had to get up at 10am to go to a celebratory brunch on my father's side of the family. There I called my boss who told me that Mathieu had quit and that I had to come in Monday at 6am. My dad gave me a birthday cake and season 4 and 7 of Buffy. The only two I was missing. My sister got a Mont Blanc pen. It was a running gag in the family that when she would graduate she would get one. The brunch ended around 1pm. I went to my uncle's house and swam in his new pool with all my cousins. Yay for swimming! I hadn't swim for the last... year. I can't find a decent public swimming pool in Jonquière. Then I got back to my mom's house at about 5pm. We ate supper and she dropped me off at the bus terminus at around 7pm. My bus left at 8pm. I slept all the way to Quebec city. Got there around 10:50pm. Waited 40 minutes for my transfer and arrived home at 2:22am. Then I slept for about 2 hours and went to work.
1. First Name: Vincent
2. Age: 21. I feel old and young at the same time... DX
3. Location: Jonquière. About six hours north from Montreal.
4. Occupation: Student, but I work as a cook in a Mikes restaurant. I both hate it and love it at the same time. I wanted to find something else for the summer, but I got lazy.
5. Partner?: Nope.
6. Kids: No
7. Brothers/Sisters: I have a sister. She's two years older then me. She's an engineer and she's working on her master's degree on... CONCRETE! I'm so proud of her!
8. Pets: A cat, named Froufrou, a cactus named Gérald, and three garden gnomes(Bernabé, Everest, Ernest).
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life: 1)Ahum... Studying in a foreign Village?... Well it's a city. But it's so small. I can't wait to move back to Montreal next year! I'll have an internship I'm really looking forward to, even if I won't know until March where it will be.
2) Dollhouse starting in January! I love Joss Whedon! :D
3) Going in Gaspésie in July. (I'll see Patrick again. But I'm not sure how I feel about it since we didn't keep in touch.)
10. Parents: My parents divorced when I was 11, and my dad has lived with his partner ever since. No kiding, me too! :p My mom is still single. She's going to Paris for a few weeks in September and then she's planing on moving closer to downtown, in a smaller condo. My dad... well he's always travelling. He bought himself a kite and it's his new thing.
11. Who are some of your closest friends?: I was thinking about friends earlier, and even if I don't see my RL friends often because they are almost all in Montreal, I have a lot. They all have one thing in common: they have XX chromosone. But that's it. They all are so unique. And I love them.
Few... this post is long!
You deserved this.
I don't remember where I got this, but credit goes where credit is due...
